revelations

Today, after knowing me for over a year, for all the time she's been in this town, Shreya has just learned that my mother is Christian (so I'm half-and-half). Art's only known me three months...he can be forgiven this. But come on, Shre. Over a year. :-P

Don't you love the innocence of small children? At the library today, I was sitting and reading, and this little 3-year-old walks up and just starts talking to me, asking me what I'm doing, what kind of book I'm reading, why I'm wearing a hat, why I have black hair ("Well that's the color hair I was born with." "Really? I have blue eyes. My mom has blue eyes but my dad has brown eyes. My sister has brown eyes. She's 5.")...this kid has no clue who I am, he doesn't care. It's so cute. Then when his mom came, she said, "Are you talking to the lady?" and he said, "That's not a lady, that's a boy." Which was weird, but funny.

Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibi
But it’s just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I’m Mr Brightside
